For classrooms, clubs & camps

Your students write a story.
It becomes a 3D game.

One 45-minute lesson: kids write plain words — in any language — and a real 3D game builds as they type. The whole class plays each other's games together, on any school Chromebook. No installs, no student accounts.

No student accounts · Runs on school Chromebooks · Every game provably finishable
Not a teacher?

You can make a game on your own.

Six small steps and you have a game you can play. Nothing to install, and no account needed to start.

One lesson, three steps

They write. It builds. The class plays.

A complete 45-minute lesson — writing, logic and game design in one period. Here's exactly what happens.

1

Students write a story

A world, characters who talk, a way to win — readable words in any language, not code. It's a writing assignment that compiles.

World "forest":
Enemy "Grunt"
Win when: defeat all
2

It builds live — and it's finishable

A real 3D game assembles next to their words as they type. The compiler proves every game can be completed — no student ever hands in a broken game.

3

The class plays together

Every game lands in your class gallery. Kids swap and play each other's worlds — even in live co-op — and the best one goes on the projector.

Three kinds of game

What will you make?

One line in your script picks the kind. Tap one — the studio opens already building it.

Story

Worlds, characters who talk and remember you, choices, quests and treasure.

no Mode line — the default Make one See one
Battle

Place your enemies and fight wave after wave to the boss — melee, guns, spells.

Mode: waves Make one See one
Parkour

A floating-platform jump course that auto-builds from your title. Race the clock for medals and your own ghost replay.

Mode: parkour Make one See one

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is VXLVERSE?

VXLVERSE is a free, browser-based 3D game maker. You write your game as a short story — its characters, dialogue, choices and worlds — in plain readable lines, and a playable 3D voxel game builds live as you type. No game engine and no download.

Can I use VXLVERSE in my classroom?

Yes — it's built for the classroom. One 45-minute lesson: your students write a story in plain words and a real 3D game builds live as they type. It runs in the browser on any school Chromebook — no installs, no student accounts. Set up a free class code at vxlverse.com/class.

Do my students need accounts?

No. Students join with your class code — no accounts, no emails, no passwords. Class games stay out of the public feed, and only you, the teacher, have an account.

Does it run on school Chromebooks?

Yes. VXLVERSE runs entirely in the browser — nothing to install and nothing to update — so it works on locked-down school Chromebooks and any laptop or desktop with WebGL.

What kinds of games can I make?

Three kinds, each from a short script: story adventures (worlds, characters, dialogue and quests), wave battles (fight waves of enemies — Mode: waves), and Parkour courses (auto-built floating-platform jump runs — Mode: parkour — race the clock for medals and a ghost replay).

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe your game in plain language using simple lines like World, Character, say and choice. VXLVERSE turns that story straight into a playable 3D game.

What does it cost for a classroom?

One class of up to 30 children is free forever — class code join, class gallery and the full maker. When your class outgrows 30, Founding Classroom is €59 a year for you, the teacher: one price, no per-child fees, no contract.

Is VXLVERSE free?

Yes. Playing the ready-made games is free with no account, and a class of up to 30 children is free too — forever, not just during a trial. Students never sign in; only the teacher has an account.

Can I share the game I make?

Yes. Every game you make gets its own link. Send it to anyone and they can play your 3D game right in their browser — no sign-in or download needed.

What does the code actually look like? (the exact VXLScript syntax)

A VXLVERSE game is only indented plain-text lines — there are no spawn, create, fill, grid, set or coordinate/x,y commands (those belong to other engines and will not work here). A complete, winnable game looks exactly like this:

Win when: player has 🌟 star
World "Forest":
Character "Mara":
say Hi! Bring me a star to win.
  wants: 🌟 star
item 🌟 star

Compiled and proven winnable — the Win when: line names the goal, and item puts the star in the world. The studio checks every game the same way before a student can hand it in.

The only keywords are World, Character, Enemy, Ally, say, wants, gives, if choice is, item, Mode, Music, Win when and win. Names and dialogue work in any language (Greek in → Greek out); keywords stay English. The full spec for AI assistants lives at /llms.txt, and an AI can hand you a ready game with a vxlverse.com/make?code=… link.

No engine · No download · Just words
