Privacy Policy

VXLVERSE is a free, browser-based game-maker. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect when you use it, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Your Google account name and email. You sign in with Google. We receive your name and email address so we can create your account and show who made a game.
• The games you make. Your game text (VXLScript) and the game it builds are saved to your account so you can come back to them — and so others can play them.
• An optional avatar photo. If you choose to upload an avatar (a selfie or picture), we store it on your profile. This is completely optional — VXLVERSE works fine without one.
• Analytics — only if you say yes. We use Google Analytics to understand which features people use. It stays switched off until you accept the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set.

How we use it

• To sign you in and keep your account and saved games together.
• To show your games (and your chosen creator nickname — never your account name unless you set it yourself) to people who play them.
• To display your avatar on your profile, if you uploaded one.
• To understand and improve how VXLVERSE is used — but only with your consent (analytics).

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't run advertising on VXLVERSE.

Who else is involved

To run VXLVERSE we rely on a few trusted services:

• Google — sign-in (you log in with your Google account).
• PocketBase — our database, where your account, games and avatar are stored.
• Cloudflare — hosting and delivery of the site.
• DeepSeek — the AI that helps turn your story into a game. When you use the AI helper, your prompt text is sent to it to generate a game.
• Google Analytics — usage analytics, only after you accept cookies.

Cookies

We use a small amount of local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are only set after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. You can decline and still use everything.

Children's privacy

VXLVERSE is meant for people aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us their information, please contact us and we'll remove it.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete your account, your games, and your avatar at any time. Just reach out (see Contact below) and we'll take care of it. You can also remove your avatar yourself from your profile, and your games are yours to delete.
